& Company has evolved as an up-cycling project for the Waste at work project. The project basically developed over a period of 3 months as previous concepts were considered and found to be unsuitable in this particular instance. & Company uses a photographic medium (photo-copier), the work will be made on site with the collaboration of a particular company and its employees, utilising existing material: largely A4 communication which has been discarded. The individual sheets will be re-worked in a partnership between the artist and individual employees. After establishing an initial output of between 50-100 works, certain works will be built-up in layers in order to create different dimensions for the individual pieces. Alternative waste material might be used for this process but this will only be ascertained once the artist has completed an on-site inventory of such a possibility.
