Sy tafel is teen die muur waar lewensgrootte foto’s uit Fabio se famile-album geplak is. Absurd sit hy daar ‘aan die voet’ van die dorpie Lecco, om hom die Alpe, hoog met wit pieke. Hy sit tussen mense wie se gesigte ander kontoere lees; There were towering cliffs on our left, and the pretty Lago di Lecco on our right, and every now and then it rained on us, Mark Twain, Innocents Abroad.
